In one paragraph

Super Seal 100 is asphalt-emulsion sealcoat — slurry seal, by its trade name — mixed at our own yard in Rathdrum, Idaho from asphalt emulsion, sand and bentonite clay. We sell it in bulk to contractors: will-call at the yard, or delivered from 3,500 gallons across North Idaho, Eastern Washington and Western Montana.

Most contractors buy sealer off a shelf. You can buy it off ours.

We are not a distributor with a pallet in a warehouse. The material is made here and sold here, and that changes two things about buying it.

Our yard, from the air.

Buying from the plant

  • One step from the mix to your tank.

What you load is what PSP made, at the yard in Rathdrum. No distributor in the middle, and no pallet wearing a brand that belongs to somebody three states away.

  • The people at the order desk made it.

Ask what is in it, or how much water it wants on a ninety-degree afternoon, and the answer comes from the company that mixed it — not a spec sheet forwarded on from a manufacturer.

Three things in the tank.

Asphalt emulsion, sand and bentonite clay. It is an emulsion mix, not a refined coal tar one — worth knowing before you spec it.

The mix

The binder

Asphalt emulsion

Not refined coal tar.

It is what bonds to the mat and stays flexible through a freeze-thaw cycle instead of going brittle on it.

The wear surface

Sand

It is what takes the traffic and puts texture back on a slick, polished lot.

The suspension

Bentonite clay

It holds the mix together in the tank so the sand does not drop out of it between the plant and the job.

Super Seal 100, as the plant specifies it. Where your job lands in each range is a question for the order desk.

Who buys it by the load.

This is a wholesale counter, not a hardware aisle. Orders are sized to crews and to jobs.

  • Sealcoat contractors

Running your own crews and buying by the load rather than off a distributor shelf.

  • Striping outfits

Adding seal work to a paint-only book, or sealing the surface you are about to lay out.

  • Property maintenance companies

Carrying seal and crack work in-house across a portfolio instead of subbing every lot out.

  • Paving contractors

Finishing your own jobs rather than handing the maintenance relationship to somebody else.

Two ways to get it.

Sold in bulk and priced by the load, on volume and distance. Both routes start with the same call.

Will-call

Load out at the yard.

2280 W. Highway 53, Rathdrum, ID. Bring the tank you haul in, and call ahead so the order is made and waiting instead of being made while you stand there.

Delivered

Brought to you on volume.

Once an order is big enough to be a load, it goes on a truck to you — across the Idaho panhandle, west into the Spokane corridor and the Columbia Basin, and east over Lookout Pass into the Montana valleys.

Five things contractors ask.

Is slurry seal the same thing as sealcoat?

Here, yes. Super Seal 100 is one product with two names: contractors in Montana and Washington order it as slurry seal, and North Idaho calls the same tank sealcoat. It is an asphalt-emulsion pavement sealer, mixed at our yard in Rathdrum, Idaho, and sold in bulk.

Is it asphalt emulsion or coal tar?

Asphalt emulsion. That is the same chemistry as the pavement it goes on, which is why an asphalt-based sealer bonds to the mat and stays flexible after it cures — it moves with the surface through freeze-thaw instead of cracking over it.

How much does a gallon cover?

35 to 120 square feet per gallon, depending on the asphalt surface. A rough, raveled or sun-burned mat drinks material and sits at the low end; a tight surface that has been sealed before sits near the top. Bring the square footage and a description of the surface when you call and we will size the order to it.

What temperature does sealcoat need?

60°F and rising. In North Idaho and the country around it that is typically mid-April to the end of September; Western Montana’s window is shorter. The trade’s general rule for any emulsion sealer is no rain in the forecast for the next 24 hours.

How is it sold?

In bulk, to contractors. Load out at the yard in Rathdrum, or we deliver once the order is a load: delivered loads start at 3,500 gallons, and we can supply bulk quantities up to 4,500 gallons. Pricing is by the load, on volume and distance — call or send the details and you get a number and a date the material can be ready.
