Wholesale sealcoat for Western Montana.

Sealer east over Lookout Pass into the Missoula and Flathead valleys, on delivery runs sized to the load.

Montana, outlined, with the yard at Rathdrum to the west and the roads in: I-90 over Lookout Pass to Missoula, US-93 north to Whitefish and south to Hamilton, MT-200 to Thompson Falls, US-2 west to Libby.Rathdrum

Western Montana is a delivery region. What crosses Lookout Pass is asphalt-emulsion slurry seal — the same tank Idaho calls sealcoat — on runs sized to a volume order rather than to a pallet.

The season is the reason to call early from this far out. A short window means a crew cannot afford to wait on material, so order sizing and timing matter more here than anywhere else on the list. Call earlier in the season than feels necessary, and have the week you need it in front of you when you do.

What the pavement is up against here.

The hardest freeze-thaw of the three regions, and the shortest season to fix anything in. Valley floors swing hard between day and night through spring and fall, so a surface can cross freezing and back daily for weeks; at elevation the ultraviolet load is higher on top of it. Pavement here ages fast in both directions at once, and a surface that goes into winter open does not come out of it the same shape.

The season.

Realistically June through early September on the valley floors, and tighter than that anywhere with elevation on it.

Super Seal 100 goes down at 60°F and rising — whatever the calendar says, that is the rule that decides a working day.

Questions from Western Montana.

Do you deliver slurry seal over Lookout Pass?

Yes — I-90 east to Missoula, then US-93 north through the Mission and Flathead valleys, on runs sized to a volume order. Delivered loads start at 3,500 gallons.

What is the season on this side of the pass?

The rule that decides a working day is 60°F and rising. On the valley floors that is realistically June through early September, and tighter with elevation.

How early should I order?

Earlier than feels necessary. A short window means a crew cannot afford to wait on material, so have the week you need it in front of you when you call, and call before the season opens rather than after.

Is this the same product Idaho calls sealcoat?

Yes. Super Seal 100 — asphalt emulsion, sand and bentonite clay — is slurry seal in Montana and sealcoat in Idaho. One tank, two names.

Where is the yard?

Rathdrum, Idaho, off SR-53, west of Coeur d'Alene — the Idaho end of the I-90 run. Will-call is there; everything east of the pass goes on a truck.

All the questions, answered by the plant →

Before you call.

Sealer is priced on volume and distance. Bring these and the quote is a conversation, not a callback.

  1. Square footage, and how many coats.

Sets the volume. A rough measurement beats a guess by a mile.

  2. What the surface is doing now.

Raveling, oxidised, or just dull — it changes what the surface will take.

  3. The tank you are putting it in.

It is sold in bulk and it lives in an agitated tank. Delivered loads start at 3,500 gallons, so the tank decides pickup versus delivery.

  4. The week you need it.

It goes down at 60°F and rising, which around here is mid-April to the end of September. The season is short.
